Cats can be divided many ways. Here are some ways of how they are divided.

You can tell by their fur. Four kinds of cats are Shorthairs, Longhairs, Semi-longhairs, and Rexes.

You can tell by their body shape. Longhaired or Persian, like a Maine Coone, have a body that has large bones and is stocky. Shorthairs, like an American Shorthair, have bodies like Persians. Oriental and Foreign cats, like the Siamese, have bodies that are small boned and skinny.

Cats can be divided by head shape. Persians and Longhairs have faces that are normally round, have round eyes, big cheeks, and have small ears set far apart. Shorthairs have faces like Persians when you look at it from the front. Foreign and Oriental cats have narrow, long heads and big ears.

All of their variety of coat colors and patterns is countless. There are orange tabby British Shorthairs and flame-point Siamese. How can you pick just one? Different breeds have different personalities and needs.

These are two annoying problems that can be solved with an easy answer: you should have bought a different cat.

You should have bought a cat that doesn't attach itself to you as much and can live by itself more, like an American Shorthair
